After meeting them, visitors are only permitted to see mountain gorillas for a maximum of one hour as they eat, play, and tend to the infants.
After the encounter, go back to the lodge and spend the evening relaxing and studying. Dinner will be served at the lodge, and you’ll stay the night.

Drive to Akagera National Park on the fourth day of this Rwanda Classic Wildlife Safari and arrive in the late afternoon. Proceed to Lake Ihema for a relaxing boat ride along its banks, which are home to numerous populations of both aquatic and terrestrial animal species, including hippos, buffaloes, and Nile crocodiles. You can enjoy other primates like Grey-cheeked mangabeys and Colobus monkeys while walking around the pathways while listening to the pleasant melodies of many bird species kept in the forest.

The trip lasts between two and six hours, but knowledgeable guides will make sure they get you to where you can observe the primates as quickly as possible. Being able to watch chimpanzees play, eat, and relax up close is a very incredible experience. After this worthwhile experience, return to the resort for lunch before venturing outside for an exciting canopy walk to view the stunning twin lakes and the many bird species that call this forest home. Retire to the lodge for meals and the night in the evening.
